This Punt Is The Football Equivalent Of Michael Jordan’s Hole-In-One In ‘Space Jam’

Bugs Bunny commits multiple felonies (including breaking and entering) over the course of the ’90s classic Space Jam, but the most notable one by far is the kidnapping of Michael Jordan, who was merely trying to enjoy a day on the links with Larry Bird, Bill Murray, and the guy from Seinfeld (or Jurassic Park, depending on your preference). Anyone who’s seen the movie probably remembers it well, but here’s a refresher if you feel like getting your nostalgia on.

In a scene that almost certainly confused the Insane Clown Posse, Bugs uses a magnet to guide Jordan’s ball to the cup for a hole-in-one in a carefully orchestrated plot to suck him down to Tune Town. It appears Bugs is up to his old tricks once again, because that’s the only way to explain this absurd punt that occurred during a high school football game between Morris Community and Raby High in Chicago.

Raby’s punter narrowly avoided getting his kick blocked at his own 5-yard line before it landed at the fifty, which is when the ball decided to channel it’s inner Limp Bizkit and keep rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ with plenty of encouragement from Raby’s special teams unit.

A full 52 seconds after the ball was snapped, it eventually stopped at the 7-yard line after traveling a total of 70 yards down the field. Raby might have won the field possession battle in this instance, but they ultimately lost the game by a score of 43-8.

At least they got a viral video out of it.
