As if we didn’t know there was a master plan behind Lonzo Ball wearing several different shoes during the NBA’s Summer League he pretty much went and confirmed it. After wearing Kobe’s (Nike) and getting blasted on social media for it, Lonzo has gone on to wear his own signature Big Baller Brand, adidas Harden’s, Jordan 31’s and Under Armour Curry’s. Why? What do you think?

Ball has been asked several times what the deal is with all the different shoes he’s been wearing and finally on Saturday he admitted trying to start a bidding war between the shoe brands to Cassidy Hubbarth of ESPN.

That pretty much echoed what his dad LaVar Ball told ESPN

“It’s making a statement to the brands of what they could have had with an open mind. The players are the brand ambassadors. The brand is nothing without the players.”

Although if LaVar is for real, the cost might still be too high for Lonzo to sign with another shoe company…

“If the price is right. Quite frankly we are officially in the shoe game, and are a billion-dollar brand either way.”

Considering that Ball won the Summer League and his team won the championship it’s looking more and more like LaVar, Lonzo and their master plan is so far working very, very well.

The only question I now have about Lonzo and his shoes is, if he doesn’t play in his signature BBB kicks does that mean he isn’t truly a “Big Baller?”
