It’s the one thing that everyone seems to use way too often, but the Michael Jordan crying meme has become the go-to photo to describe the heartbreak of a situation.
With the best baller to ever play the game always cautious about how he’s being represented, the only thing left to hear about the thing was if Jordan himself was OK with it floating around the Internet as if it were some new disease that continued to spread.
Well, according to a rep for the basketball Hall of Famer, MJ is actually cool with the whole thing, with the person telling TMZ this:
“Everyone seems to be having fun with the meme. We haven’t seen anyone using it to promote their commercial interests, which is something that we’re monitoring.”
In other words, go ahead and use the fucking thing all you want to, Internet, just don’t try and make any cash off of it unless you want Jordan coming after your ass and squashing your future financial success.
As for my persona opinion, well, I’m ready to have the thing retired from the Interwebs forever, but here are a few of my favorite instances in which the MJ crying meme was used perfectly.
