Mike Tyson Says He Was Impressed By Conor McGregor During The Mayweather Fight And Talks About Gambling

Mike Tyson was sitting ringside for the ‘fight of the century’ between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather last month. It’s unclear how much of the fight Mike Tyson actually got to see because he was sitting directly behind LeBron James who is 6’8″ with a 7-foot wingspan. But, Iron Mike apparently got to see enough of the fight to change his tune on Conor McGregor.

Leading up to the fight, Mike Tyson was an outspoken critic of Conor McGregor. At one point, Tyson called Conor a ‘dumbass’ and said that Mayweather was going to ‘kill him’. It’s not like Mike Tyson was in Floyd Mayweather’s corner leading up to the bout. In fact, Mike even called Floyd Mayweather ‘delusional’ earlier this summer. When Floyd said he’s better than Muhammad Ali, Mike took it upon himself to take Floyd town a couple of inches in an interview.

As a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Mike Tyson talked about the fight of the century, how he was impressed by Conor McGregor (as was anyone who watched the fight), and he talked about gambling. Floyd Mayweather loves to bet on his own fights and he’s been known to place huuuuge wagers on himself. Mike Tyson said he never once bet on himself and thinks it was probably illegal back when he was boxing in the ring.
