Montreal Canadiens Say Milan Lucic Threatened Multiple Players During Postgame Handshake Line

The Montreal Canadiens upset the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of an Eastern Conference semifinal series, capping off a wild two weeks full of rivalry, controversy, and old-fashioned hate. As the final buzzer sounded, the two teams lined up for the traditional handshake — a ceremony many believe to be one of the best parts of hockey.

But the battle wasn’t over.

Habs forward Dale Weise says Bruins winger Milan Lucic opted to issue a threat rather than congratulations.

Video of the incident seems to suggest Lucic was quite pissed off, but my lip-reading skills aren’t sharp enough to confidently know what he said.

Habs star P.K. Subban, who announced his entrance into the big time with seven points in the series, decided to make love and not war.

Here he is kissing a diminutive Pierre McGuire in jubilation.

So much kissing lately. Gotta love it.
