Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher Tyler Thornburg’s Hat is Bigger Than Your Hat

For, lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of the singing of birds is come,
And the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.

As such, players are reporting to spring training and baseball season creeps ever closer. That means groundballs are being scooped and player pictures are being taken.

Tyler Thornburg, a righthander with a chance to crack the Milwaukee Brewers’ starting rotation, took the opportunity to wear an extremely large hat.

There are only three players in Major League history who could fill out this enormous lid.

1) Barry Bonds

2) Placido Polanco

3) Kevin Mench

That’s it. Those dudes has big heads. Fact.

It’s a solid plan by Thornburg. If a roster spot is available, what coach wouldn’t select a funny guy over a not-so-funny guy? Only a joyless miser, I bet.
