Nebraska is enjoying a rare season of successful basketball. The Cornhuskers all but locked up a spot in the NCAA Tournament with a clutch win over Wisconsin last night in Lincoln.
Adding to the excitement was a surprise pregame proposal from senior guard Mike Peltz to his stunned girlfriend at midcourt.
Reading off his iPhone — WOW DUDE you probably should have memorized this part — the reserve combined love and basketball with this line at the end of his speech:
“You all know the rules for tonight, and there’s no sitting or kneeling of any kind. But, but, I got to make an exception real quick.”
Peltz’s girlfriend, clearly a sucker for a man in a ponytail, immediately accepted.
