Leonard Fournette made an appearance at today’s NFL combine and posted a pretty shitty vertical jump number after coming in a bit heavy which led to a minor freak out from certain “Twitter scouts”.
Leonard Fournette's vertical: 28 1/2 pic.twitter.com/n7PU1GWLnZ

Leonard Fournette with a 28 1/2 vertical is an alarming number. Only one RB had a sub-30 inch vert at last year's Combine.

28.5" vertical for Fournette is very bad. Average should be 34.5 for RBs.
OL and DT usually jump around 28".— Goodberry (@JoeGoodberry) March 3, 2017
Eventually Fournette crushed the 40 yard dash and NFL execs were coming out of the woodwork to proclaim their love for the potential top 10 pick.
Leonard Fournette silences some critics by running a 4.51 40 yard dash on his first try. My man is 240 pounds. pic.twitter.com/AejzP9YdTh

Quick text from front office exec: "Fournette just made this draft a lot more interesting. More teams will want to make move into top 5."

One more text from different front office source: "No one gives a sh– about Fournette's vertical jump."

Lots more texts coming in re Fournette. Consensus is wowed by 40 time. Weight, vertical not issues. 1 scout compared him to Herschel Walker.

Seriously, who gives a fuck about a vertical jump number when he can just truck the shit out of players like this.
Leonard Fournette didn't post a good vertical at the combine. His rebuttal. pic.twitter.com/Lt4bHZ5QCj
