Odell Beckham Jr. Is Using Lasers To Heal His Ankle In Time For The Regular Season

Odell Beckham Jr. was forced to leave the New York Giants’ preseason game on Sunday night thanks to a sprained ankle he suffered after taking a hard hit to his left leg, sparking plenty of discussion about the merits of having your star players participate in preseason games.

ESPN is reporting the NFL’s most talented receiver could miss the Giants’ season opener against the Cowboys on September 10th, and there’s a possibility he ends up sitting out for even more games.

However, it appears Beckham is doing everything in his power to ensure he gets back on the field as soon as possible, including using frickin’ laser beams.

CBS Sports described exactly what the procedure involved, and it definitely doesn’t sound like sketchy pseudoscience. Not one bit:

Thera-Lase’s website touts its ability to “offer quick relief from inflammation, reduce pain fast, and accelerate healing.” The process involves delivering “concentrated laser-light energy to the cellular level of the body” to reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing rate.

I wish everyone who drafted Beckham in their fantasy league the best of luck.
