Ohio State starting quarterback J.T. Barrett has been suspended for next week’s game against Minnesota after being arrested last night in Columbus on misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The 20-year-old Barrett was forced to take a breathalyzer test after being stopped by police for trying to avoid a DUI checkpoint.

Barrett, 20, was arrested after trying to avoid a DUI checkpoint near the Ohio State campus, a source told ESPN. He failed a breathalyzer test and was released to teammate and fellow quarterback Cardale Jones, according to the source.
Ohio State is currently on a bye which means Barrett will not return to the team till Nov 14. against Illinois.
