New England Patriots End Up Losing To Jets After Screwing Up Coin Toss In OT

Before the start of overtime in the Patriots-Jets game, the Patriots won the overtime coin toss, but Matthew Slater inexplicably told the referee that the Patriots wanted to kick off the ball.

That screw up allowed the Jets to drive up the field in OT to score the game-winning touchdown without Tom Brady having a chance of winning the game himself.

Update: According to Slater, Bill Belichick did indeed instruct him to kick off in OT.
