REPORT: Peyton Manning Will Announce His Retirement On Monday

Tomorrow will be exactly a month since Peyton Manning captured a Super Bowl title with the Denver Broncos, it will also be the day he says farewell to the NFL. According to Chris Mortensen, the legendary NFL quarterback will announce his retirement on Monday.

The five-time NFL MVP, who turns 40-years-old on March 24, will announce his retirement during a news conference Monday at the Denver Broncos’ headquarters. Tuesday is the deadline for the Broncos to guarantee his salary for 2016 or release him.

Reportedly, Manning informed the Broncos organization on Saturday evening that he is retiring. Manning spoke with Broncos chief executive officer Joe Ellis, general manager John Elway and head coach Gary Kubiak about his decision.

Manning played 18 seasons, which included four trips to the Super Bowl where he won twice. He is the NFL’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns (539), passing yards (71,940) and quarterback wins (186, tied with Brett Favre).

We will certainly miss Peyton Manning on the field and on the television screen with his terrific commercials.
