A Potential Juror Gave MMA Fighter War Machine A GIFT During His Trial For Beating His Porn Star Ex To A Pulp
The trial is underway for former MMA fighter War Machine, who is being tried for 34 counts, including attempted murder, kidnapping and sexual assault after beating his ex-girlfriend and her lover within an inch of their lives.
Yesterday, the court heard the frightening details of the violent events that transpired after War Machine burst into the house of his ex girlfriend–porn star Christy Mack–to find her in bed with another man. War Machine, whose birth name is Jonathan Koppenhaver, beat Corey Thomas giving him a broken nose, dislocated shoulder, scrapes and bruises, and bite marks on his face and arm.
He then turned his vitriol on Mack, beating her beyond recognition–giving her a broken nose, missing teeth, fractured eye socket, leg injuries and a lacerated liver.
It’s nearly impossible to sympathize for such a shitty guy, whose allegedly had a history of domestic violence. I say nearly because one woman evidently adores him.
According to the New York Post, the trial took a weird turn on Tuesday when a once-potential juror showed up to the trial with a gift for the man who could potentially spend his life behind bars.
The unidentified woman arrived with a smile and handed a small manila envelope to the marshal in Courtroom 15B, despite not being selected in the high-profile case, which saw its second day of testimony on Tuesday, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
The woman had penned a letter with what appeared to be a handmade blue leather bracelet inscribed with the word “grace” on it. The gesture confused both defense attorneys and prosecutors, leading them to approach District Judge Elissa Cadish’s bench to inspect the envelope’s contents.
The letter’s contents were not made public, but attorneys said the woman wrote that she was praying for War Machine — born Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver — and asked others to do the same. She also wrote that someone close to her was serving time behind bars under similar circumstances, the newspaper reports.
The letter was simply “private thoughts” that the woman wanted to share with Koppenhaver, according to his defense attorney, Jay Leiderman, who called the gesture “very sweet.”
Prosecutor Jacqueline Bluth, meanwhile, objected to allowing the woman to present Koppenhaver with a package, calling it “absolutely inappropriate.”
My God. The dude who did THIS is getting sympathy from potential jurors. Darwinism really needs to wake the fuck up and do its job.
