Just a few weeks ago it seemed as if the Sacramento Kings were actually out of the usual shit hole that they’ve been in over the past few years, actually hovering around a playoff spot at one point.
That sure seems like a long time ago, though, as the team has, once again, found itself in dysfunctional bullshit.
And look no further than tonight’s 20-point loss to the Cleveland Cavs as a sign that head coach George Karl might be the next person to be blamed for the way things have gone in Sac Town, as the team’s point guard, Rajon Rondo, told reporters after the game why the Kings might not have been as prepared for the Cavs as they should have been.
Per Sacramento Bee‘s Jason Jones’ Twitter, here’s what Rondo said:
Rondo: "With optional shootarounds it’s tough. … When 3 or 4 guys show up for shootaround this morning, how can you expect to win.?"

Uh, that’s probably not a good way to prep for a basketball game against one of the top teams in the league, but, then again, who the fuck am I, right?
While Jones also mentioned on Twitter that Karl often runs optional shoot-arounds, when only a handful of players actually participate in doing their job, that’s a bad look for a coach.
It’s probably why Marc Stein of ESPN reported following all of this mess that the Kings are believed to be canning George Karl in the coming days:
ESPN sources say that the Sacramento Kings are going ahead with a coaching change and plan to fire George Karl in coming days

Yep, the Kings still suck, guys. It’s going to take a while for this mess to be cleaned up.
