Rex Ryan Is Recruiting LeBron James To Come Play For The Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan has always been known to stir the pot—and speak his mind. So it’s probably not too surprising to hear ol’ Rex trying to improve his team by making a pitch for LeBron James to join the Buffalo Bills as a tight end.

Per ESPN, here’s what Rex tried to sell Bron Bron:

“I don’t know a whole lot about (basketball),” Ryan told ESPN’s Mike Rodakon Wednesday, “but that big ol’ rascal can come play tight end for us, if he wants to.

“I think it would work out well. You look at him. He’s physical. Unbelievable. Look at the range. There’s nobody that can cover him. There’s no way you can cover him. Fast, physical. We’ll give it a shot.”

The debate of James being as dominant on the football field as he is on the hardwood has been ongoing for years, with an NFL exec even recently saying that LeBron would be the best tight end in NFL history had he stuck with football after high school rather than hoops, per Complex.

One NFL GM thinks LeBron could have been the G.O.A.T. at the tight end position if he would have stuck with football. “LeBron James would have been the best tight end of all time,” he said. “He would have been Rob Gronkowski before Rob Gronkowski. No one would be able to cover him. He would have set records every season.”

An anonymous scout took it a step further. According to Freeman, that scout told him he feels LeBron would have been “one of the 10 best football players of all time.”

If James’ Cavs do end up losing this year’s NBA Finals as most people think they will, maybe No. 23 will pull a Michael Jordan and find a new sport to play in. At least one Bills player looks like he’s in favor of the move.
