There are some things in life that just can’t be explained—and athletes taking to social media during rough times are one of them.
The situation with the Washington Redskins continues to get even more dysfunctional after the team announced that former No. 2 overall pick Robert Griffin III would lose his starting gig, with a firestorm of emotion coming out of our nation’s capital, as teammates either rejoice or mutter, “no comment” when asked about the decision to bench RG3.
As for Griffin, himself, well, he didn’t hide how he felt inside, doing the one thing that he shouldn’t have fucking done—go onto social media.
Instead of owning up to being pissed off after losing his job, RG3 played the pussy card, posting his own Instagram pic to “set the record straight,” in which he tossed a poor intern under the bus for, apparently, liking that photo, making him the fall guy.
I just wanted to set the record straight on this one. I did not “like” that IG post ridiculing our team. I have not been social media active consistently for awhile now and am ultra-focused on working to get back on the field and trying to help this team. One of our interns who helps with Instagram liked the post. As soon as I was made aware of it, it was immediately unliked. That is not how I feel and I appreciate your understanding. #HTTR A photo posted by Robert Griffin III (@rgiii) on Aug 31, 2015 at 9:55pm PDT

Griffin may have had trouble learning the playbook in D.C., but he seemed to catch on pretty quickly to Cris Carter’s advice of having a fall guy when things get bad.
Looks like there’s more drama with the Skins than a Hollywood movie, so I can’t wait to see how all this shit unfolds.
