Rob Gronkowski Chugs A Bottle Of Water While Middle Schoolers Chant ‘CHUG IT! CHUG IT!’ In Heartfelt Video

Over the past five years, Gronk has frequented Boston Children’s Hospital as part of his partnership with One Mission, a charity that supports pediatric cancer patients and their families. He’s visited marathon bombing victims, shooting victims, and showed up unannounced to the hospital during the holiday season wearing an elf costume. He’s participated in Thanksgiving Goodwill events, holiday charity events and auctions, Department of Defense events (while in season) in support of families who are having tough times adjusting to having loved ones overseas, and has started his own youth foundation.

He’s done so much for the community in Boston and the surrounding area, and at a Massachusetts elementary school on Tuesday, he did yet one more thing for his adoring young fans: turned a bunch of 12-year-olds into alcoholics in training. Gronk chugged a bottle of water while the entire auditorium chanted “CHUG IT!,” before spiking it on the ground, causing the children to erupt in chaos.

I’d really like to check up on these kids when they’re seniors in high school. I’d bet the family farm that most of them have dropped out and can be found at the local Chili’s getting bent watching old Gronk highlights. Sad.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
