Ronda Rousey Competing At WrestleMania 33? According To Reports, That’s What WWE Wants

Its been awhile since we last hear from former UFC darling Ronda Rousey, who seemed to fall off the face of the earth following her shocking loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. The summer of Rousey may be upon us, though.

Following the announcement that Brock Lesnar’s returning to UFC 200 to battle with Mark Hunt on July 9, WWE is now pursuing Rousey to take part in the biggest wrestling event of the year, WrestleMania 33 next April.

Per Forbes, via FOX Sports:

Part of the concessions made to allow Lesnar to return to UFC could also include a deal that would see former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey return to WWE.

According to the report, WWE wants to work with the UFC on a couple of key things, but at the top of the list is getting Rousey to wrestle at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Fla. next April.

Rousey has previously taken part in WWE events—namely WrestleMania 31 last summer when she was the Belle of the summer in sports—but she never returned to the organization despite rumors to the contrary.

Could WWE steal the UFC’s biggest female star to actually compete at its most prestigious event? Would you really put anything past Vince McMahon getting what he wants?

FOX Sports also recently confirmed that another female UFC star, Paige VanZant, is in talks with WWE to appear at SummerSlam, with both organizations working together to get the biggest names in both sports to crossover.
