Texas Rangers’ Minor League Team Created A Very Boozy Drink To Pay Tribute To Rougned Odor’s Punch

One of the greatest fights in MLB history came the other day when the Texas Rangers’ Rougned Odor socked Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista square in the jaw, causing everyone to wonder if the shortstop has a second career in boxing with the way he landed that punch.

While Odor received an eight-game suspension for attempting to knock out Joey Bats, people everywhere are still celebrating it—with the Rangers’ minor league team, the Frisco RoughRiders, even mixing a new drink as a tribute.

Per FOX Sports:

It’s called “Roughie’s Red PUNCH” and will be available for a limited time to people 21 and up as it contains alcohol. From the RoughRiders’ site:

The beverage is the perfect blend of ingredients made as an homage to Odor, who played for the Riders in parts of 2013 and 2014. It contains fruit punch (in honor of his prodigious right hook), an energy drink (perfect for those looking to embody Odor’s ferocious and frenetic style of play), and a secret ingredient from Odor’s native Venezuela.

Rougie’s Red PUNCH will be served out of a punch bowl, of course, and sold in limited edition souvenir 12 oz. cups, as a tribute to Odor’s number (12). Cups of Rougie’s Red PUNCH will be sold at the price of $5.15, commemorating the date of Odor’s ascension to the pantheon of Texas Rangers’ lore.

“Odor is a feisty, energetic player, and we have come up the perfect drink to honor him,” said RoughRiders Executive Vice President and General Manager Jason Dambach. “Rougie’s Red PUNCH will punch you in the mouth with great flavor and an intense energy burst.”

Not sure what the “secret ingredient” is, but it’s something boozy, which means RoughRiders fans should sip the drink to avoid getting in their own brawl in the stands during the game.
