Breakups are difficult. You have to cope with the emotions of losing someone you once loved while trying to beat them to rebound sex. In particularly bad cases, one must come to the realization that their ex has moved on to someone bigger and better. And in the worst cases, that bigger, stronger, and faster entity beats you in a game of 5-on-5 basketball, reaffirming your ex’s decision to move on.
Despite Kevin Durant signing with the Golden State Warriors over six months ago and Russell Westbrook having one of the most statistically bonkers seasons in NBA history without him, last night’s meeting proved that the wounds are still fresh, at least for Russell.
After the Warriors improved to 36-6 on the year by beating the Thunder 121-100, a bitter Westbrook saw some teammates trying to approach their old teammate, to which Westbrook yelled, “Don’t say what’s up to that bitch ass!”
Durant tried to relieve the glaring tension between the two by buddying up with Westbrook in the third quarter. Westbrook heard him, but wasn’t hearing it.

Six months and Russ still ain’t ready to bury the hatchet.

P.S. If you didn’t see Westbrook’s travel last night, it is the most egregious travel in NBA history.
