Ryan Lochte’s Response After Police Impostors Put A Gun To His Head And Demanded He Get On The Ground: ‘Whatever.’

Earlier today, we brought you the story of 12-time Gold medalist Ryan Lochte allegedly getting held up at gunpoint and robbed after attending a party in Rio with Brazilian swimmer Thiago Pereira on Saturday night. The IOC immediately dismissed the claims, which were brought forth by Lochte’s mother, calling them “absolutely not true.”

Well, Lochte himself spoke to TODAY’s Billy Bush confirming the incident to be absolutely true and that fellow U.S. Olympic swimmers Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen were also involved.

Lochte said, per NBC News,

“We got pulled over, in the taxi, and these guys came out with a badge, a police badge, no lights, no nothing just a police badge and they pulled us over,” Lochte said. “They pulled out their guns, they told the other swimmers to get down on the ground — they got down on the ground. I refused, I was like we didn’t do anything wrong, so — I’m not getting down on the ground.

“And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, “Get down,” and I put my hands up, I was like ‘whatever.’ He took our money, he took my wallet — he left my cell phone, he left my credentials.”

So bro. Bordering on idiotic, but so bro.

Ryan Lochte cannot be rattled.

Jk.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
