Jon Gruden’s enthusiasm for the game of football and — well, everything else — is unmatched. He’s always hopped-up on something and delivering effusive praise.
Last night was no different, and his main target for fawning was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Noted Atlanta Falcons fan Samuel L. Jackson didn’t appreciate the lovefest.

I am going to say this one time and one time only: a vast majority of announcers do not have any biases. They couldn’t care less who wins a game. They just want it to be interesting and have a compelling storyline. Deep down, I think most fans know this. I think most see bitching about the announcers as a harmless tradition.
But nothing, and I mean it, NOTHING makes a person look dumber than crying about the referees and announcers. These people are just trying to do their damn jobs.
Grow up and join the real world by accepting this.
Of course, I’d never say this to Mr. Jackson for fear of swift and severe reprisal. Dude tends to not fuck around.
