Former Detroit Lions Quarterback Scott Mitchell Is Now VERY Fat, Will Be a Contestant On ‘The Biggest Loser’

Kyle Koster is our in-house Detroit Lions fan but a combination of having to catch a train and the lingering sting of having had to endue Scott Mitchell as his franchise’s quarterback has left this post in my lap.

Before Kyle left, we had a brief conversation in our chatroom regarding Scott Mitchell’s current state of doughiness.

Kyle: Oh God, my childhood. He spiked the ball on 4th down in the playoffs!

Me: Still stings?

Kyle: Yes

Me: You can argue obesity is his penance.

Kyle: That’s not nearly enough.

As you can see, like most Lions fans, Kyle is still grieving. And as you can also see, Scott Mitchell is 366 pounds and a contestant on the next season of The Biggest Loser, because for some reason that show likes to help people who probably already have the financial means to help themselves.

Per NBC.com:

“Now 46 years old and 366 pounds, Mitchell has sleep apnea and high blood pressure. Weight has been an issue since age 35 due to a busy life and poor diet. With five kids ranging in age from 11 to 21, he wants to be there for his family and is ready to embrace a healthy lifestyle. When he loses the weight, he says he wants to look amazing in clothes and be physically active.”

“Wanting to look amaze-balls in clothes is, like, the only reason I ever, like, even wake up, Beccaaaaa” is how I imagine Mitchell saying that to NBC producers.
