During Monday night’s barely watchable game between the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts Bill Simmons tried to be witty on Twitter.
Problem is he decided to use WWE Superstar Sheamus in his analogy of just how much Cris Collinsworth was overselling the matchup.
I love when Collinsworth pretends that a terrible game with a close score is a great game. It's like Michael Cole selling a Shamus match.

Turns out that Sheamus (with an “e”) caught wind of the tweet and delivered a burn on “The Sports Guy” that’s probably going to need some ointment this morning…

In the immortal words of Jim Ross, “Dear God, somebody stop the match!”
Naturally, many others on Twitter also decided to pile on Simmons for his comment…

If you can pretend that Tom Brady isn't a cheater, then Collinsworth gets to pretend too. /troll

Dear God. Aren't you supposed to be a writer? Oh wait, you've given that up for a shitty TV show on HBO that no one watches. pic.twitter.com/cW2et0RjiR
