I’ve never been skiing in my life but I’m absolutely sure I’d be awful at the sport. Mostly because I’d be too afraid to fall on my ass. It’s all about not being afraid to fall.
This guy is not only not afraid to fall, he’s not afraid of smashing into mountains at top speeds.
Polish skier Pawel Babicki lost his left ski early in a World Cup downhill run in Bormio, Italy. Instead of just falling on his face, and calling it a day, Babicki finished the race on one ski with the respectable time of 2 minutes, 33.42 seconds. He placed second, only 36.47 seconds behind winner Dominik Paris of Italy.
Watch his insane run here.
