Laugh At These Skiing Robots Wiping Out Over And Over Again Before They Rebel And Kill Us All

Because humans are stupid and won’t be satisfied until robots gather together to revolt and kill us all, now they are trying to create robots who can replace humans in sporting events like skiing. Apparently it’s not frightening enough that robots now have the ability to open doors, do backflips, and get into Twitter beefs with celebrities. Heck, AI is already trying to create its own language so we won’t even know it’s coming.

At the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, some skiing robots tried and, thank God, based on the video below, pretty much all failed to make it down a slalom hill, wiping out over and over again. (YES! I am totally going to be one of the first humans the robots kill in their sleep someday, aren’t I?)

The event, called the Ski Robot Challenge (and it was definitely a challenge for them… I am so dead), once again proves that there is an unreasonable amount of satisfaction in seeing robots falling down.

According to Sploid

Eight teams competed, under rules that said all robots had to be at least 20 inches tall, have two legs, and operate on an independent power system. And despite a handful of impressive runs, there are always bound to be some failures when you try to do something that’s typically reserved for elite athletes.

Yeah, these robots are about as elite as Joe Flacco. Suck it, robots…

CNET says the TaekwonV robot from the Minirobot Corp. team won the race by traversing the five gates in 18 seconds.

Wonder how many tries it took… stupid robots.

Here are some of the other entrants/failures…
