Redmond ‘Red’ Gerard became the youngest snowboarder to ever win an Olympic Gold Medal a few days ago when he won the first Team USA Gold Medal of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics (in Slopestyle). Red slept in the morning he won his Gold Medal and later dropped an F-bomb on TV like a boss. His family went viral for shotgunning beers before, during, and after his run.

As a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Red Gerard talked with Jimmy about how his family shotguns beers without using keys. He discussed how he slept in after watching Brooklyn Nine Nine, and he talked about how he was born two years before Snowboarding even became an Olympic sport:

You have to love his family’s dedication to getting crunked up in South Korea. ‘We’re here to get Gerarded’ is the family slogan which translates to ‘we’re here to get drunk’ because his cousin Abigail would get so drunk in college they turned the named Gerard into a verb for getting schmammered. Every American at the Olympics is chanting ‘USA! USA! USA!’ but this family’s out there living up to the Gerard name and getting Gerarded AF on the slopes. It kind of makes me want to start using ‘Gerarded’ in my day-to-day life when talking about drinking.
