So many former NBA players have claimed in recent weeks that THEIR teams could beat the 2017 version of the Warriors, Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr finally had to respond.

John Salley said his Bulls would beat the Warriors.

Magic Johnson said his Lakers would beat them.

Julius Erving said his 76ers team would win.

Rasheed Wallace said his 2004 Pistons would be victorious.

So did Rip Hamilton.

And you know what? Kerr agrees with all of them, reports the Mercury News

For all those former greats turned hot takers, Steve Kerr has your back: The Warriors would have no chance against any of the great teams of the past.

“They’re all right,” Kerr said at Friday’s shootaround in advance of Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

“They would all kill us. The game gets worse as time goes on. Players are less talented than they used to be. The guys in the 50s would’ve destroyed everybody. It’s weird how human evolution goes in reverse in sports. Players get weaker, smaller, less skilled. I don’t know. I can’t explain it.”

I think I am sensing a little sarcasm there.

Well played, Coach Kerr. Yet another mark in the win column for you.
