Tennessee Titans WR O.J. Murdock Commits Suicide
Murdock did not report to training camp on Friday with the rest of the team, and the Titans placed him on their “did not report” list over the weekend. When asked about Murdock’s absence, coach Mike Munchak said it was for “personal reasons.”
Murdock was signed by the Titans as an undrafted free agent on July 28, 2011. He spent the entire 2011 season on injured reserve after suffering a right Achilles injury early in his rookie training camp.
Murdock began his college football career at the University of South Carolina and then went on to Pearl River Community College before spending two seasons at Fort Hays State. He had 1,987 yards and 20 touchdowns in 21 games at Fort Hays State.
Murdock was 25.
