The Baltimore Ravens Exploit NFL Rule To Run Out Clock Against Bengals On Final Play

The Baltimore Ravens exploited an NFL rule at the end of today’s game against the Bengals by committing holding against all nine Bengals who rushed their punter on fourth down, giving Sam Koch enough time run out the final 11 seconds of the clock untouched.

While the game can not end on a defensive penalty, there’s no such rule preventing one from ending on an offensive foul.

The NFL will surely tweak this rule to make sure more teams don’t exploit it in the future.
