When is Tiger Woods coming back to golf? If his interview last night with Stephen Colbert is to be believed, Tiger Woods will 1000000% be playing at his own tournament, the 2016 Hero World Challenge which starts on December 1, 2016. Tiger told Colbert that he pulled out (hehe) of the Safeway Open because his game isn’t where it needs to be to shoot 63s and 64s on the PGA Tour. Guess he didn’t want to be embarrassed by shooting a measly 69.
Tiger’s interview with Colbert includes only a few moments that seem like they weren’t rehearsed. Like when Colbert asked him about his ex-wife Elin Nordegren and how the two have become best friends. But for the most part, you get the sense that Tiger knew most of the questions before they were even asked. Which, considering that he is still Tiger Woods, is not at all surprising.
