In the immortal words of Homer Simpson “U-S-A! U-S-A!”

Team USA beat Russia 3-2 today in a shootout in case you were sleeping or didn’t think NBC was showing hockey this year. “What’s hockey? The people want men’s figure skating!”

The Russian team thought they nailed the game-winner on a shot by Fedor Tyutin with 4:40 remaining in the game, but NOPE, the goal was disallowed because the net was slightly dislodged. Take that Rooskies!

This GIF of T.J. Oshie rifling the game winner through Sergei Bobrovsky’s five-hole in the eighth round of Saturday’s Group A play never gets old.
