Todd Frazier Went 1000% For A Foul Ball Into The Stands, And Paid For It With His Face

Today the Chicago White Sox were in Arlington, Tx., to take on the Texas Rangers, a game that would eventually be decided by one run, 6-5.

In the 4th inning, White Sox third baseman Todd Frazier went above and beyond for his pitcher Mat Latos, careening into the stands trying to make an amazing catch on a Prince Fielder foul ball. Unfortunately, Frazier paid for is efforts with his mouth, going straight into a seat after crashing through a number of spectators. Worse yet, he didn’t manage to hold onto the ball.

Ouch. Here’s a slo-mo take of the impact.

Luckily, it seems Frazier wasn’t hurt too bad, as he reportedly needed five stitches after cutting his lower lip on impact. Thankfully, no fans were injured as well, but it does appear some not-so-cheap beer went to wasted as well.

Despite the White Sox loss today, there’s no way you can’t applaud this effort.
