Kentucky National Championship Tattoo Guy is Keeping His Tattoo

Tyler Austin Black, the Kentucky Wildcats fan who inked himself with a tattoo predicting a national championship season for his guys, has been on a roller coaster of emotions lately.

He was roasted by the entire internet while John Calipari’s squad floundered for several months. Then he was regarded as some sort of savant as they came out of nowhere to reach the national title game.

Unfortunately for Black, though, his tale still had the sad end everyone predicted as UConn was too much for Kentucky in North Texas.

But the 22-year-old seems to have a pretty good attitude about the whole saga.

“I’m keeping it,” Black said [after the game]. “It’s a way to remember this team and it’s part of my life story.”

“It didn’t really bother me that much,” Black said. “I know people outside of Kentucky can’t stand us.”

Black attended last night’s game after CBS gave him tickets. So he didn’t go away from this experience empty-handed.

Or sober. He didn’t walk away sober either.
