Late in the UCLA-SMU game, UCLA was down two points when guard Bryce Alford launched a wild 3-point shot with two players guarding him.
SMU center Yanick Moreira foolishly jumped early to grab the rebound and hit the ball as it was coming down towards the rim. Referees weren’t allowed to look at the replay eventhough the ball may have hit the rim before Moreira touched the ball.
i’ve looked at the replay plenty of times and I really can’t tell whether it hit the rim or not but I’m pretty there will be plenty of people talking about this call for awhile.
