The Date Appears To Be Set For Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 2 At UFC 200

After all the trash talking on Conor McGregor’s part ahead of his UFC 196 contest with Nate Diaz, The Notorious ended up getting choked out in the second round, and humbly accepted defeat like a man.

After Nate Diaz’s stunning victory, there was little question the two warriors would go at it again, with McGregor remarking after the fight that he believed he was a true featherweight fighter at the 145lb division where he holds the belt.

Well, now we know when the two will go toe-to-toe again, but again it’s going to be at the 170lb. welterweight mark, and a title will not be on the line.

From MMA Fighting:

The UFC is close to finalizing a non-title welterweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz for the July 9 card, MMAFighting.com has learned from multiple sources. If all goes as planned, the promotion is hoping to announce the fight shortly.

It’s reported the fight will again happen in Las Vegas, but this time around it will be at the new T-Mobile Arena.

Mark your calendars, bros. If the build up to the first fight was any indication, this one is going to be a doozie.
