Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could be out for the rest of the season after he opted to have surgery repair his right meniscus that he tore during Sunday’s game against the Packers.
Peterson has what is known as "bucket handle tear." I'm told that's a minm of 3-4 months out & up 6months usually. Again Peterson has faith.

#Vikings RB Adrian Peterson told me he's planning to have surgery on Thurs to repair his meniscus. He's "doing it with faith and optimism."

However, the "repair" of t/ meniscus, is a better for longterm health of t/ knee, so long as the surgeon feels good abt healing of indv tear

Stating again on my TL, healing for a repair of meniscus can be minm of 3-4 months & up to 6. Peterson will be an indv case. He's optimistic

#Vikings RB Adrian Peterson's surgery set for tomorrow morning, source said. It is a repair, not a trim. Holding out hope of playoff return.

That some pretty shitty news if you’re a Vikings fan or drafted him earlier in your fantasy league.
