Vladimir Putin Unsurprisingly Thinks One Of The World’s Worst Businessmen Deserves The Nobel Prize

I’m sure there’s some scientific term for when sh*tty people flock to other sh*tty people, and how corrupt people with power always tend to make excuses for other corrupt individuals. Unfortunately I don’t know that scientific term to describe this phenomenon. However, what I do know is that nothing in sports is more laughable than one of the world’s worst dictators, Vladimir Putin, backing up the worst person in all of sports, Sepp Blatter, saying that Sepp and people like him deserve the Nobel Prize.

Reuters Canada reports:

On Saturday, at a meeting with Putin in St Petersburg, Blatter said that FIFA, facing a major bribery scandal, had passed a resolution offering full support for holding the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“We all know the situation developing around Mr Blatter right now. I don’t want to go into details but I don’t believe a word about him being inolved in corruption personally,” he said.

“I think people like Mr Blatter or the heads of big international sporting federations, or the Olympic Games, deserve special recognition. If there is anyone who deserves the Nobel Prize, it’s those people.”

For years there have been rumors that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin suffers from some sort of mental instability, and after all of the FIFA revelations and indictments I’d have to assume that supreme overlord Sepp Blatter is right there with him.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Putin would go to bat for Sepp Blatter, after Russia was able to successfully spend tens of millions in bribes to FIFA to secure the next FIFA World Cup. But the complete garbage and verbal diarrhea spewing from Vladimir Putin’s mouth is quite disturbing, because I think on some level Putin actually believes that the most corrupt individual in all of sports (Sepp Blatter) is somehow worthy of praise. Just how Putin himself is one of the most corrupt rulers worldwide, and wakes up every morning believing his is deserving of worldwide praise. I mean, a guy who goes out of his way to make public appearances like this is compensating in the strangest of ways, right?

I mean, this is the guy he’s defending. And not even just defending, this is the guy that Putin’s claiming deserves the Nobel Peace Prize:
