The Washington Capitals Look Less Than Thrilled To Be Starring In This Cringeworthy ‘A Christmas Story’ Spoof

It’s been quite the year for the Washington Capitals so far, as the team leads the Eastern Conference in points with 44, putting them atop the standings about one-third through the NHL season.

With so much to be thankful for, and part of their holiday tradition over the years, the Caps released a video that shows their holiday cheer—and it’s about as cringeworthy as you could imagine.

Doing a spoof video of A Christmas Story and turning it into A Capitals Story seemed like a good idea, but with no player appearing interested in actually doing it, the whole thing was an epic flop.

At least we’ll forever have that image of Alex Ovechkin wearing a pink bunny suit, so that’s at least a gift that will keep on giving for years and years.
