While that quote is not even close to being a factually accurate statement, it’s a great day — A GREAT DAY — when someone’s most famous quote comes back and bites off a chunk of their ass. Today, it’s Wayne Gretzky’s day for that, because last night he took a shot at kissing his wife on the Philadelphia kiss cam during the Flyers-Capitals game and she denied the ever living shit out him.
On the bright side, he lived by his own fucking motto. He took the shot. He missed it, sure, but if he didn’t take the shot he couldn’t show his face in public ever again.
Let’s break this down frame by painful frame.
“She’s gonna do it. She is going to kiss me because I’m THE GREAT ONE.”
“Am I being denied?”

He’s got a point there.
