A week before the Tennessee Titans and the Houston Texans played each other last season, Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger posted a selfie of his new haircut. Mettenberger proceeded to get destroyed by the Texans and during the game J.J. Watt decided to take an imaginary selfie after sacking the Titans QB.
After the game, Watt was asked about the selfie celebration and this was his answer.
“Kind of a reminder this is NFL, not high school,” “Welcome to the show.”
Fast forward nine months later and it seems the quote still bothers Mettenberger because in a recent interview with CampusSports.net, the quarterback fired back by saying that Watt was the highschooler, not him.
“J.J. had to say it’s a bit high school-ish that I take selfies and I think he still rags me on Instagram every time he posts a selfie,” “At the same time, if that’s high school-ish, he got a letterman jacket made, a Texans letterman jacket. That’s pretty high school-ish to me, don’t you think?”
Here’s the letterman jacket Mettenberger is referring to.

Watt responded to Mettenberger on Twitter early this morning by saying that he didn’t really care what Mettenberger had to say but we all know that Watt is looking forward to playing the Titans this season just to destroy Mettenberger again.
A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep. Time to attack the day.
