Sneaker Battle: The Kyrie ‘All-Star’ 4’s Or The KD ‘All-Star’ 10’s?

Nike ‘All-Star’ Kyrie 4’s

In a move that no one wanted, LeBron James chose teammate-turned-nemesis Kyrie Irving to be his team’s floor general in February’s All-Star game.

“Kyrie was available on the draft board, he’s one of the best point guards we have in our league,” James said. “It was an easy choice for me.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Kyrie and LeBron interact after a less-than-smooth divorce. That remains unclear. What is clear is that Kyrie is going to be looking fresh come February 18th.

He’ll likely be rocking this brand new colorway of the Nike Kyrie 4’s, featuring a tie dye color scheme.

The upper sports a black and white tie dye pattern. Purple is used on the embroidered Swoosh branding, while pink and blue arrive on the tongue’s Kyrie logo and outsole, respectively.

the insoles mention Venice Beach, which isn’t far from where the 2018 NBA All-Star Game will be played. The insoles also point out that Kyrie is a “5x All Star.”

Nike ‘All-Star’ KD 10’s

On February 18, Kevin Durant will play in his ninth consecutive All-Star game. The game will take place in Los Angeles and for the first time in the game’s history, players will be competing with some players of the opposite conference–thanks to the newly-implemented All-Star Draft process.

Durant will take the floor with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, and Kyrie Irving to represent the #TeamLeBron starters.

As far as footwear’s concerned, KD will reportedly be sporting a new color way of his KD 10’s, inspired by the Santa Monica pier.

The new colorway of the superstar’s tenth signature model dons a Flyknit upper that mixes ocean fog, fuchsia blast, and hyper orange accents. This pair’s outsole continues the multicolored theme from the upper by fusing the colors in a marbled pattern.

You can cop yourself a pair of these freshies on February 18th if you have $150 to spend.

Winner: KD All-Star 10’s

Reason: I’m 30 years old. The KD’s are more mature looking. 10 years ago I would have been rocking those Kyrie’s to bed, but I’d look like Uncle Rico showing up to my men’s league game in those now.
