Facebook is always looking for new ways to become a larger part of their users’ lives. Facebook’s new direction could be heading towards career-oriented services, which would put the social media giant against employment-oriented social networking service LinkedIn. There are screenshots from Facebook, which show the popular site testing out a LinkedIn-like resume/CV feature. The new resume page was spotted by web developer Jane Manchun Wong and screenshots of Facebook’s feature were posted on Twitter by Matt Navarra, director of social media for The Next Web.

Facebook has allowed users to list their job and education histories on their pages for a while now. But the new feature will combine all the relevant career-oriented information into a single, professional-looking page that looks like a resume. It’s not known how many Facebook users have access to the resume feature or what Mark Zuckerberg’s intentions are for the service.

In a sigh of relief, this new resume package will be separate from your personal Facebook page which maybe you have wisely made private. This is so your potential future employer cannot see your personal photos of you puking at your 4-year-old nephew’s birthday party and urinating into the gas tank of your former boss’s BMW.
