While you were losing money in your Bitcoin investment this week, Jeff Bezos made a mind-numbing $6.7 billion thanks to Amazon having yet another massively successful quarter.

On Thursday, Bezos made nearly $7 billion after Amazon jumped 6.2% in late trading after the e-commerce behemoth posted fourth-quarter profit and revenue that blew away Wall Street’s expectations. Bezos owns about 78.9 million shares of Amazon, which saw a boost of $85 a share in early Friday trading. If this scenario of Bezos making a ton of money in a mere couple of hours sounds familiar it’s because it’s happened before. Only three months ago, Bezos made $6.6 billion overnight following an earlier Amazon Wall Street-pleasing earnings report. 2018 has been a wonderful year for Bezos and he has already made $17.4 billion in January alone. Amazon has also had a magnificent year as shares were up approximately 19% in 2018.

Bezos, who was already the world’s richest person (But with inflation Bezos would be the second-richest person in the world) now has a net worth over $120. The Amazon CEO’s fortunes are worth approximately $123.4 billion. It’s good to be Jeff Bezos. Check out what Bezos and fellow billionaire Warren Buffett say is a simple habit that separates really successful people from others.
