Oklahoma Boy, 5, Forced to Turn Michigan Shirt Inside-Out by School
Apparently the blue-and-maize apparel goes against the school district’s dress code, which only allows Oklahoma or Oklahoma State gear.
Cooper Barton’s mother is understandably upset with the school for making her son flip his shirt inside-out. Her main argument is that Coop is five.
The school district says rules are rules and points out that kids can’t wear Oklahoma City Thunder clothes to class either.
The code was put in place in 2005 in cooperation with an anti-gang task force.
Can’t have kids in gangs! At least not when they’re five.
Good work, adults. Solid job all around. Way to utilize the common sense that comes with age.
