When it comes to Big Ten football, Iowa vs. Wisconsin is about as Big Ten as it gets. Both teams stack the Big Uglies and run the football down their opponents’ throats.
As the two teams faced off on Saturday afternoon, the Badgers had an early advantage. Through the first 18 minutes of the game, Wisconsin had 142 total yards to Iowa’s 11 and took at 10-0 lead.
While the Badgers defense was wrapping up at the line of scrimmage, the Hawkeyes defense was struggling to stop both the run and the pass. It wasn’t a great defensive effort to begin the day.
As a result, Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen was averaging 6.9 (nice) yards per carry on seven touches. He was on a roll and no one could stop him.
Except one thing— the kicking net.
Allen broke a chunk run down the sideline and was pushed out of bounds. He couldn’t stop his momentum and went FLYING into the kicking net on the sideline.
Only thing that can stop @BadgerFootball RB @BraelonAllen these days: The kicking net. 😄 pic.twitter.com/OAt6f4rCDO

You’ve never seen an end of a run quite like this:

Fortunately, Allen was okay and got up without injury.
Perhaps Iowa should put 11 kicking nets on the field to try and stop No. 0 from breaking loose?
