Watch Bruce Willis Get Revenge In Tempestuous ‘Death Wish’ Remake
The original “Death Wish” movie that came out in 1974 featured actor Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey, a New York City architect who becomes a one-man vigilante force and kills criminals in the mean streets in an act of revenge after his wife is murdered and daughter is sexually assaulted during a home invasion. Eli Roth’s remake of the violent vigilante flick stars Bruce Willis as a mild-mannered emergency room surgeon who is transformed into a killing machine after his wife (Elizabeth Shue) and college-aged daughter (Camila Morrone) are brutally attacked in their suburban home outside of Chicago.
With the Chicago Police Department overwhelmed by violent crimes, they are unable to track down the criminals who hurt Kersey’s family and ruined his life. Kersey takes matters into his own hands and goes on a brutal vengeance spree and kills any lawbreakers who cross his path. “As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media’s attention, the city wonders if this deadly vigilante is a guardian angel or a grim reaper.”
The screenplay was written by Joe Carnahan and stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Jack Kesy, Dean Norris, Mike Epps, Kimberly Elise, Beau Knapp, and Kirby Bliss Blanton. “Death Wish” blasts into theaters on November 22.
