The Indianapolis Colts headed into today with a 9-7 record, meaning a win over the 2-14 Jacksonville Jaguars — easily the worst team in the league so far this season — would be enough to earn a berth to the NFL playoffs. As such, the Carson Wentz-led Colts went into the game as a 14-point favorite over the previously pitiful Jaguars.
Despite all of this, the Colts came out as flat as a professional NFL team possibly could, and not only lost to the Jaguars, but got absolutely dominated from beginning to end, ultimately losing the game by a score of 26-11. With the loss, the Colts dropped to 9-8 on the season and will have to watch the postseason from home, while the Jaguars improved to 3-14 and still kept the #1 pick in the draft anyway thanks to the Detriot Lions victory over the Green Pay Backers.
During and following the shocking defeat, NFL fans took to Twitter to absolutely destroy the Colts and Carson Wentz — who was in his first year with the team after the Colts gave the Philadelphia Eagles a conditional second-round pick (that turned into a first-round pick because entz played 75 percent of the Colts’ snaps in 2021) — in particular for the inept display.

Despite having an NFL MVP caliber player on their offense in running back Jonathan Taylor, the Colts were only able to score one touchdown on Sunday. It should be noted that the touchdown didn’t come until the fourth quarter until the game was likely already out of reach.
During the must-win game, Carson Wentz completed just 17 of his 29 attempts for 185, one touchdown, and one interception. He also had a fumble.
