Actor Eric Dane delivered a powerful message before his death.
On Thursday, it was reported that the 52-year-old Dane had passed away 10 months after revealing his ALS diagnosis.
“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” his family said in a statement provided to CBS News. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”
“Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight,”
Before his death, Dane sat down with Netflix for their program “Famous Last Words”, in which they interview celebrities that is released posthumously ‘allowing the interviewee to tell their own message after their death.’
In his final interview, Dane spoke about his relationship with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart.
“I will never, by the time anybody sees this, have fallen in love with another woman as deeply as I fell in love with Rebecca.”
Prior to his death, Eric Dane sat for an interview with the understanding that it would only be shared with the world after he passed.

Dane also sent a final message to his daughters and the rest of the world
“I want to tell you four things I’ve learned from this disease, and I hope you won’t just listen to me. I hope you’ll hear me.”
“Live now, right now, in the present. It’s hard, but I learned to do that for years.”
“I hope I’ve demonstrated that you can face anything, you can face the end of your days, you can face hell with dignity.”
