Go Back In Time To 1988 To Watch One Of Nirvana’s First Performances At A Radio Shack
Before Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic became Nirvana they had several names for their band including Skid Row and Fecal Matter. With future Melvins drummer Dale Crover on the drums, they were in the band Ted Ed Fred. On January 23, 1988, the day after Ted Ed Fred laid down their first demo tape, they shot a video in Aberdeen, Washington. At the local Radio Shack. I implore you to name another time where you could see a music legend, but you could also purchase important late 80s electronic products such as CB radios, video game switch boxes, and printer cables. Video of this incredible time portal has been unveiled and it is spectacular.
Video archivist Mike Ziegler uploaded not only this early version of Nirvana, but also unedited video interviews that were filmed on December 13, 1993, with Cobain, Novoselic, and some drummer named Dave Grohl.
Too bad they didn’t stick Fecal Matter, it has a nice ring to it.
